AstraZeneca and Bollington Festival 2005 won the RBS Arts, Business and Community Award at a ceremony in The Barbican on 3rd April 2006. The evening was hosted by Arts & Business.

The unanimous choice of the judges, who were very impressed with our submission, we were short-listed with Barclays & Aldeborough Productions, Gunwharf Quays Management Ltd & Aspex Visual Arts Trust, Rolls Royce plc & Derby Playhouse & R Theakston & harrogate International Festival.

This arard is "in recognition of a business/arts partnership that has successfully stimulated community cohesion and regeneration through engagement with the arts".

AstraZeneca was the major sponsor of the 2005 Bollington Festival in order to develop an artistic and cultural community cultural celebration, bringing sustainable benefits. Attracting over 20,000 people to 78 events over 17 days, this 'Festival For All' enabled company employees and the community to engage and participate in the arts, including events at the company's sites.
